Kentucky can do better through cannabis sales and taxes!

Writer's picture: Destiny KelleyDestiny Kelley

While ones of the poorest states in the country, Kentucky boasts over 75,000 farms and 13 million acres of prime farmland. It is one of five states in the country that produce a combined 90% of domestic marijuana grown, and in Kentucky, it remains illegal for recreational consumption.

The loss in income, tax revenue, and jobs in the economy are fracturing. Our school systems are suffering, mental health is on the decline, food costs are up - as a whole, Kentucky is struggling. As a whole, Kentucky wants to legalize marijuana.

So, while we sit and wait for our elected officials to have our best interest at heart, here is a tri-fold pamphlet of the facts regarding farming of marijuana, and what we are losing every day for the sake of politicians and their personal agendas.

We encourage you to write to your elected officials and let them know that you want to invest in Kentucky's future by legalizing recreational cannabis.
