The white supremacist hate group trying to ban books and infiltrate the public school system, Moms For Liberty, is in Northern Kentucky. The Moms For Liberty, Campbell County chapter was started by Mirna Eads last year, and has since expanded to a Boone County chapter, led by Karen Strayer.
A small but growing group of advocates for Public Education have attended and crashed these Moms For Liberty meetings, including the meeting held last Thursday at the Boone County Public Library, Burlington branch. At the meeting, Mirna and Karen told us they plan on spreading Moms For Liberty to Kenton county very soon. Mirna and Karen also told us "Moms For Liberty does not ban books" while Mirna also proceeded to tell us some of the books that their group wants banned from schools. Moms For Liberty gave out "Joyful Warrior" awards to some of their members, including Jerry Gearding. You may remember Jerry Gearding as the candidate who lost state representative seat for district 67 to Representative Rachel Roberts. Or possibly more memorable of Jerry Gearding being charged many times for domestic violence. I don't know about you, but I would want this guy far away from anything to do with my child.
Other members associated with Moms For Liberty and in attendance were newly-elected state representatives of Boone county, Steve Rawlings and Marianna Proctor. These representatives were also at another event, supported by Moms For Liberty and Boone County Republican Party, at the Kenton County Library in November, put on by John Schrock from We The People Kentucky. That event included John Schrock calling public school teachers "groomers" and "terrorists", with those in attendance supporting Moms For Liberty and We The People Kentucky clapping and cheering.
